HITRUST Assurance Program
Alivia Analytics has HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year (r2) Certified status demonstrating that the organization’s SaaS healthcare payment integrity platform has met demanding regulatory compliance and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk. This achievement places Alivia in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. By including federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps organizations address security and data protection challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
SOC 2 Compliance
Alivia Analytics continually meets SOC 2 compliance, also known as Service Organization Control Type 2. This framework establishes how organizations should handle customer data. It was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to ensure that third-party service providers securely store and process client data. Our compliance team has designed controls that follow principles of trust which are assessed by an independent third-party auditor. At the conclusion of a SOC 2 audit, the auditor renders an opinion in a SOC 2 Type 2 report, which describes Alivia’s system and evaluates whether Alivia’s controls are designed appropriately, were in operation on a specified date, and were operating effectively over a specified time period. These internal reports provide Alivia and its regulators, business partners, and suppliers, with important information about how the organization manages its data.

Snowflake’s cloud data warehouse platform is integrated with Alivia’s SaaS analytics platform. By leveraging Snowflake, we enhance data management and improve operational efficiency, security, and accuracy on behalf our customers achieving the following technical benefits:
Scalability: Snowflake can seamlessly scale compute and storage independently, accommodating large volumes of healthcare data and varying workloads without compromising performance.
Data Security & Compliance: Snowflake offers robust security features, including encryption, data masking, and access control, helping Alivia and its customers comply with healthcare regulations like Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Snowflake has implemented a range of security and compliance features that enable it to meet the requirements of HIPAA, making it suitable for storing, processing, and analyzing Protected Health Information (PHI).
Data Sharing & Collaboration: Snowflake’s architecture enables secure and real-time data sharing between Alivia and its customers which is crucial in healthcare for timely and accurate data ingestion.
Performance: Snowflake’s unique architecture separates storage from computing, allowing for high performance even with concurrent queries, which is vital for processing large volumes of healthcare claims data efficiently.
